Dr. Kristin Brunstein

Dr. Kristin Brunstein became a vet to speak for those who don’t have a voice and working with animals has always seemed like a good fit for her. The Edwardsville resident went to Auburn University for undergrad and graduated in 2017. She then enrolled at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated May 3, 2021 with her DVM. Her vet med interests include feline medicine, exotic animal medicine (reptiles, rodents, birds), and surgery. Kristin has actually been in the veterinary field for about 10 years now. She started out as a veterinary assistant in high school and worked in a clinic until her 3rd year of veterinary school. When not in school or at the vet hospital, Kristin enjoys hiking with her dogs, sewing, and knitting. Her own animal family includes 2 hound dogs, 3 cats, a horse, and an aquatic frog.

Dr. Haley Hartnagel

Dr. Haley Hartnagel is a 2022 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include emergency medicine and soft tissue / orthopedic surgery. Oliver

Oliver, Supervisor

Oliver was born in 2011 and adopted by Dr. Ohms from Second Chance Rescue (Vandalia) later that year. From very meager beginnings, Oliver has become a “one-of-a-kind”. He has worked many general medicine and emergency shifts with Dr. Ohms. Currently, he is overseeing all grooming operations with Amanda. When not working hard in grooming, Oliver enjoys bass and crappie fishing, practicing lick and release.

He loves camping, canoeing, and barking at any bicycle in eye-sight. When New Year’s resolutions are kept, running is a favored activity. He waits very patiently every night to give Dr. Ohms snuggles and hears all about his day at work. Truly, one of his most special talents!

Amanda Ohms, Groomer

Amanda Ohms, Groomer

Amanda graduated Edwardsville High School in 2008. She is an experienced groomer, providing grooming services for the past 6 years. What sets Amanda apart is her scissoring ability that provides top notch grooming beyond the average trimmers. Grooming is a profession that requires patience, Dr. Ohms and Oliver test this patience routinely. As they say practice makes perfect! When not grooming, Amanda enjoys crafting, camping, and floating.
